Prepare the Glaze
- In a small saucepan, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture comes to a gentle boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.
Cook the Salmon
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets, skin-side up, and sear for about 3 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip the salmon fillets, then pour the prepared glaze over them.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Notes
For added flavor, garnish the salmon with sliced green onions or sesame seeds before serving. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
