Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, rice vinegar, ground ginger, and black pepper until well combined.
- Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them on the prepared baking sheet, skin side down if using skin-on fillets.
- Brush or spoon the honey garlic mixture generously over the top and sides of each salmon fillet, reserving about 2 tablespoons for later.
- Let the salmon marinate for 5 minutes while the oven finishes preheating.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, depending on thickness of fillets. The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork but still looks slightly translucent in the center.
- Remove from oven and immediately brush with the reserved honey garlic mixture for extra glaze.
- Let rest for 2-3 minutes, then garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
For thicker fillets (over 1 inch), increase cooking time to 16-18 minutes. The salmon will continue cooking from residual heat, so don't overcook. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. This recipe doubles easily for larger crowds.
